Jewelry Care Guide
We use raw minerals and S925 sterling silver. They are designed to age beautifully with you. Here is how to maintain their rugged charm.
01 Respect the Raw Stones
Natural turquoise and minerals are porous and "alive." They can absorb liquids and slowly change color over time—which is part of their organic charm. However, keep your stones away from perfumes, hairspray, and harsh soaps. Never use ultrasonic jewelry cleaners, as the vibrations can fracture the raw matrix of the stone.
02 Embrace the Silver Patina
We intentionally use oxidized (darkened) S925 sterling silver to give your jewelry a vintage, handcrafted depth. Please do not use liquid silver dips or aggressive polishing chemicals, as this will strip away the intentional dark shadows. If needed, simply wipe the high points gently with a dry, soft polishing cloth.
03 Wear It Often
Surprisingly, the best way to prevent sterling silver from tarnishing is to wear it! The natural oils from your skin act as a protective barrier, helping the silver maintain its unique contrast and preventing severe oxidation.
04 Water & The Elements
While getting caught in a little rain fits the explorer spirit, avoid prolonged soaking. Always remove your pieces before jumping into chlorinated pools, hot tubs, or hot springs. Chlorine and sulfur will chemically react with both the silver and the porous stones, causing permanent damage.
